Design

It is a particularly pleasant design, meaning a blue house free of all frills. Therefore it can be taken anywhere, it does not have to be hidden, and it is good quality. The power button, two USB 3, one Type-C, and one 3.5 mm jack are visible. The Type-C USB is useful because it can be used, for example, with a Type-C flash drive or a hub (but it cannot be operated from there, as in the case of laptops!).

Hardware

It can be purchased in several versions, but the test version has the quad-core (eight threads) Ryzen 5 3550H processor, capable of a minimum of 2.1GHz and a maximum of 3.7GHz, with only a maximum consumption of 35W.

In other words, the entire PC’s consumption is minimal; if we count with 50W, it is still only a little more than 0.5kW in 12 hours.

The AMD Radeon Vega 8 handles the graphics, which can easily handle 4K, 60 fps videos.

The memory (RAM) is 16GB (2 x max. 16GB can be included), and the storage is a 500GB NVMe SSD drive.

What is hardware enough for?

There is perhaps no need to prove that this hardware is enough for everyday office use; it spins nicely, and there are no hiccups.

So surfing the net, downloading YouTube, and Office programs like Office, etc., takes things easily and gives a good user experience.

Starting programs shown in the video below, loading files (uncut, in real-time), and a few typical tasks such as

editing tens of MB images

Editing a 175-page doc

5000 line xls

and also surfing the net, with many tabs

The speed of the internal drive

The factory-supplied NVMe SSD is fast, with a maximum sequential read speed of 2440 MByte/s and 1750 MByte/s write speed.

This is not incidental because it also helps a lot when loading large programs and games.

USB speed

There is USB 3, capable of very high speeds, which in this case was 360MByte/sec. You can only move 20GB of data at this speed in one minute.

Of course, USB 3 can do more, but there are other limiting factors, such as the speed of the external drive.

Stability test, noise level

Thanks to normal cooling, performance is never a problem because the processor does not have to take it back not to overheat.

With a continuous 100% load, the power was at 100% all the time, and the temperature stopped at around 75°C (which, by the way, can be 105 maximum, and the ambient temperature was 25°C).

Games, Geforce NOW

Although it has a better graphics solution, it doesn’t work wonders either, but it still runs well-scalable games with low graphics or older or 2D games.

At the same time, there is, for example, Geforce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming, or even Shadow Cloud, with which we can essentially play any game, even on a very weak computer.

Playtests

It can be used as a media player and a flash drive, external and internal drive, but care must be taken to ensure that the data carrier has sufficient speed.

Below is a 4K playback test from an external SSD drive – it didn’t cause any problems, a few percent CPU, and a light GPU load.

Streaming services

It runs the same streaming services as any modern Windows computer, so Netflix, HBO GO, Disney, etc.

This makes it perfect as a media player.

Outputs, inputs

We have the right amount of connectors available, and two monitors or a TV can be connected to it, but it’s a shame for Bluetooth 4, it could be 5, and the price difference is practically 0.

3.5mm jack
4x USB 3.0
2x HDMI (4K)
1000Mbit LAN
wifi: 2.4G/5G, 802.11 b/g/n/ac
Bluetooth: 4

Commissioning

Previously, it came with Windows 10, which can be upgraded to 11, but it comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro, which you can use immediately, or if you want, you can install it again.

If you don’t install it again, it starts with a few steps, during which the Hungarian language can’t be selected at first, but later. Of course, it is activated and legal and can be updated without any problems.

Conclusion

It is a demanding, muscular mini PC that requires only a modest amount of power but still provides good speed. It can be said that it is uncompromising, it is guaranteed to hold its own at home and in the office, but it is also suitable for more discreet professional use.

It is also suitable as a media player and streaming device and can handle 4K content with ease.

It has the right amount of inputs and outputs and is perfect for multi-monitor systems, as it also has two HDMIs.

The fact that it comes with pre-installed, legal Windows 11 Pro is just the icing on the cake

Due to the integrated GPU, it cannot run modern, graphically intensive 3D games well, but that is not its purpose so it could be Bluetooth 5 instead of 4.

But otherwise, it’s a great device.
