However, it comes with a small trimmer for evening out uneven areas. This feature can be easily deployed by sliding the plastic attachment at the razor’s back. Additionally, the razor includes a clip-on attachment for removing nose and ear hair.
The Series 7000 S7786 is a lightweight shaver, weighing only 200 grams. Its flexible head allows for easy movement over the entire face. However, the small blades are a drawback as they affect the precision of the shave. It’s difficult to target small areas in particular.

To create a personalized profile, simply complete the questionnaire in the app. Based on your answers, a shaving program will be established to help minimize irritation and achieve the perfect shave or a stylishly unkempt beard.
To access the shaving help page, simply click on “start your guided shave”. The page includes a counter that evaluates your wrist movements during the shave. Although not completely necessary, the application has added benefits for those unaccustomed to electric shaving. It even includes a fun aspect of keeping the needle in the green, providing a challenge for users.

Shaving
The Philips Series 7000 S7786 has blades that feel similar to those of the Series 5000 S5587, resulting in a comparable shaving experience. There are occasional issues, but they are not significant. However, due to the three small rotating heads, it is not possible to shape a full beard. It is best used for removing hair from sparse areas on the face, particularly if there is no more than a week’s worth of growth. It is quite effective for this purpose, although some areas may require multiple passes, as is typical with most electric shavers.
The Philips Series 7000 S7786 takes exactly 69 minutes to fully charge. Once charged, it can operate uninterrupted for up to 2 hours, making it one of the most durable models in our comparison.
Cleaning
The Philips Series 7000 S7786/50 is a shaver that is waterproof and can remove most hairs around the blades or trimmer by running it underwater. For a more thorough cleaning, you can open the main head and use the mini brush. Additionally, it comes with a cleaning base that you can use by placing the shaver upside down and spinning the blades using the power button. It is essential to purchase refills of cleaning product and lubricants for €15 to ensure proper operation. It should be noted that only the rotating blades can be cleaned using the base and the shaver cannot be cleaned entirely.
The blades on the main head can be easily removed and replaced when they become dull. A complete replacement kit costs around 50 €. This feature was also present in the Series 5000 S5587.
Noise
When only the rotating blades are used, the sound level of the Philips Series 7000 S7786 reaches 79 dB(A) a few millimeters from the sound level meter, 72 dB(A) at 5 cm, and 67 dB(A) at 20 cm from the device; these distances make it possible to simulate use near the ears, on the cheeks, and the neck. We therefore support the noise quite easily during the few minutes the shaving lasts, even if its sharp side is annoying in the long run.
The mower is noisier since we noted a noise level of 78 dB(A), 76 dB(A), and 70 dB(A), so we won’t waste time eliminating the legs so as not to suffer too much.
CONCLUSION
Some may question the practicality of connecting an electric razor to a smartphone, but after testing it ourselves, we can confirm that it does not impact the experience of using the Philips Series 7000 S7786 in any way. The added feature is even appealing, however, it is not necessary to fully enjoy the razor’s high performance and versatility as it comes with multiple accessories. Although there are some minor drawbacks such as the lack of precision in the main head and the loud noise of the mower, the Philips Series 7000 S7786 remains a great value for its performance.
